Oxford Dogma

“Best in Show” Pet Awards featuring custom pet portraits in Country Living Magazine, October 2018 issue. My cat portrait is in the bottom center of the page.

Pet portraits and handmade pet accessories

I started Oxford Dogma during a career break, after adopting our first dog, Pipsqueak. I sewed her a little jacket and had so much fun making it I polished my sewing skills and learned how to design sewing patterns.

Eventually the business evolved from its handmade roots into custom pet portraits. One of the highlights of the journey was being invited to share my work in an issue of Country Living Magazine. In the photo above, that’s my portrait of our cat, Big Guy, the orange tabby in the buffalo plaid scarf. I had always dreamed of having a product published in a magazine, so that was certainly an exciting goal to achieve!

I’m not currently taking on pet portrait commissions, but may again soon. If you’d like to get on a wait list, you can send me a message using the contact page. Or have a look around at the blog to see my handmade pet projects and pet portraits, and read the story behind Oxford Dogma.
