Number 86 of my 100 Starts project |
Yesterday as I was painting my Start of this lemon I started wonder about the effect of the direct light on the yellow, and what would it be like in a more diffused light. Today I kept the direct light off and used ambient light from the window and the overhead room light.
I went a little too dark the yellow in the light family but it still looks very realistic to me. And it was interesting how much warmer the colors looked to me today, especially in the shadow family of the lemon. I like how the intensity is less harsh in this one and it makes me want to explore a greater variety of lighting conditions.
Now that I’m in the home stretch I wanted to start posting these daily. The previous studies can be found here.
