Process notes

  • cut recipe in half
  • used 100% soft white wheat berries
  • baked in a 6″ metal cake pan


This was super easy to make. It got a little soggy and actually reminded me of rhubarb pie. I reduced the amount of sugar with the berries, and as mentioned in the recipe it was more on the sour side, not super sweet, and was a little bland. If I make it again, I’d definitely pair it with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
